Yes, a book is judged by its cover. Get it wrong and your book will struggle for sales.

Charmaine Ross, multi published author and professional graphic designer, shows you how to help your book get off to a flying start with sensational cover art.

Charmaine designs her own covers (of course) both for her fiction and non fiction books. Her series of Write your Right ... for indie authors provide practical, useful guidance for writers of popular fiction. Her latest is about cover design. Write your Right Book Cover That Sells.

Charmaine will explain the expectations for book covers in various popular genres, how to put one together yourself or how to brief a designer to do it for you, how to find a good designer that won't break the bank, and how to judge a good cover from a bad one. PLUS bring along your designs and Charmaine will provide you with a supportive, positive critique you can take away to work with to improve your cover design.

This is a unique event: there is nowhere else in Australia you can get a supportive, constructive critique of your cover design, right there on the spot.

All that lovely knowledge from Charmaine, but how do you put that into practice when you can't use Photoshop or InDesign or any other of the professional design software?

Let me show you how using Canva book templates. With Charmaine guiding my design, of course.

Don't know what Canva is? Do you have a treat in store! Go here. It's a fantastic, simple drag-and-drop design service for those who aren't design professionals. And an absolute life saver!
